There is something exciting happening with CSCS Boys Golf.
The 2026 season has been marked by steady growth, improving scores and a group of Lions beginning to see what is possible when they continue to put in the work.
With a combination of experienced upperclassmen and talented younger golfers, CSCS is making meaningful progress and developing into an increasingly competitive program within the Tri Peaks League.
Growth You Can See
The Lions have continued to show improvement throughout the season.
At Tri Peaks League #2, CSCS finished with a team score of 299, led by freshman Liam Hall, who fired an 89. Senior Jefferson Holpuch followed with a 100, senior Cody Wade shot 110 and sophomore Josiah Pitt finished at 116.
Other tournaments have provided even more evidence of the team’s progress.
CSCS posted a 277 team score in another competitive field, with Hall shooting an impressive 85, freshman Evan Lareau recording a 90, Wade finishing at 102 and Pitt at 104.
The Lions then posted a 273 in another round, with Lareau shooting 87, Hall 88 and Pitt 98.
The scores are moving in the right direction, but perhaps more importantly, so are the expectations.
Believing in What’s Possible
As this program has grown, so has its confidence.
The Lions are increasingly finding themselves competing in the middle of strong tournament fields, and the goal is no longer simply improvement.
They’re beginning to believe they can climb even higher.
That confidence isn’t built overnight. It comes from time on the range, lessons learned on the course, teammates pushing one another and golfers discovering that consistent work produces results.
Each round is another opportunity to improve.
Each tournament is another opportunity to compete.
And each step forward raises the standard for the golfers who will follow.
Experience Meets a Promising Future
One of the strengths of this year’s team is its blend of leadership and young talent.
Seniors Cody Wade and Jefferson Holpuch are helping provide experience and leadership, while younger golfers are stepping forward and contributing in meaningful ways.
Freshmen Hall and Lareau have already produced rounds in the 80s, while sophomore Pitt continues to gain valuable competitive experience.
Together, they’re doing more than lowering scores.
They’re helping build the future of CSCS Boys Golf.
The seniors have an opportunity to leave a stronger program behind. The younger Lions have an opportunity to learn from them, continue developing and eventually become the leaders who take the program even further.
That’s how a program grows.
Excellence One Shot at a Time
Golf provides a unique opportunity to develop many of the qualities we want to see in every CSCS student athlete.

It also requires something incredibly important: the ability to move forward.
A golfer can’t change the last shot. He can only decide how he will respond and play the next one.

For CSCS Boys Golf, the trajectory is exciting. The Lions are growing in confidence, lowering scores and beginning to set their sights higher.
There’s plenty of golf still ahead and plenty of room to grow.
