The Lions close out the regular season with momentum, determination, and a winning record as they prepare for their next challenge.

The Colorado Springs Christian Schools boys soccer team has wrapped up its regular season, finishing with a 7-5-2 overall record and a 3-1 conference record, placing third in the 3A Tri-Peaks standings.

Throughout the season, the Lions have demonstrated resilience, determination, and steady improvement. From hard-fought matches to exciting victories, this team has continued to develop its chemistry and confidence, putting together a strong finish to the regular season.

Lions Finish the Week Strong

The Lions entered their final week of regular season competition looking to build on the momentum they had established earlier in October.

On October 12, CSCS faced Thomas MacLaren School in a competitive matchup that ended in a 1-1 draw. The Lions battled throughout the match, demonstrating their ability to compete against a talented opponent.

On October 15, CSCS returned to the field against Atlas Preparatory School for its regular season finale. The Lions came away with a 2-1 victory, securing their seventh win of the season and finishing on a high note.

The final stretch of the season has highlighted the team’s continued growth. With 42 goals scored throughout the regular season and several strong defensive performances, the Lions have demonstrated their ability to compete on both sides of the field.

Players Making an Impact

Throughout the season, players across the roster have stepped up to contribute to the team’s success.

Senior Judah Rogers has been a key offensive contributor for the Lions, leading the team in goals per match. His ability to create scoring opportunities and find the back of the net has been an important part of the Lions’ offensive success.

On the defensive side, junior goalkeeper Sean Law has delivered an impressive season, recording 120 saves according to MaxPreps. His work in goal has helped keep the Lions competitive in closely contested matches and provided a strong presence behind the team’s defense.

These individual performances, combined with contributions from teammates across the roster, have helped CSCS build a competitive team capable of battling through challenging matchups.

A Team That Continues to Grow

Every season brings its share of challenges, and this year has been no exception. The Lions have faced difficult opponents, learned from tough losses, and celebrated victories earned through preparation and teamwork.

What has stood out is their willingness to keep competing.

Through the highs and lows of the season, these young men have continued showing up, putting in the work, and pushing one another to improve. Their success is a reflection of the commitment they have made to their coaches, their teammates, and the program.

For seniors Judah Rogers, Antonio Ordaz, Carson Dorminey, and Barclay Stuart, this season represents the culmination of years of dedication to the game and their teammates. Their leadership and contributions have helped shape the team, and we are grateful for the example they have set.

Beyond the wins and losses, our hope is that every athlete walks away from this season having grown as a competitor, teammate, and young man of character. The lessons learned through athletics, including discipline, accountability, perseverance, and leadership, will continue to serve these young men long after their playing days at CSCS.

Looking Ahead to the Postseason

With the regular season behind them, the Lions now turn their attention toward postseason opportunities.

Their next matchup is currently listed for Thursday, October 22, with the opponent and game time still to be announced.

The work this team has put in throughout the fall has prepared them for this moment. They have faced adversity, earned important victories, and continued to grow together.

As we look ahead, we are proud of the way these young men have represented CSCS, both on and off the field. We are grateful for our coaches, families, and school community who have supported the team throughout the season.

Congratulations to our Lions on a strong regular season! The work isn’t finished yet, and we look forward to seeing how this team responds to the challenges ahead.

Let’s go, Lions!
