The 2026 season has been one of meaningful progress for the Colorado Springs Christian Schools Boys Golf team. From improving individual scores to becoming more competitive as a team, the Lions have taken important steps forward this fall, demonstrating that success is not always measured by trophies, but by the commitment to improve, compete, and represent CSCS with excellence.
For a program that has been working to establish itself as a stronger competitor, this season offered plenty of reasons to celebrate. The Lions have made significant strides from where they stood in previous years, moving from the bottom of tournament standings toward the middle of the field. That progress reflects the work these student-athletes have invested in developing their skills and learning how to compete with greater confidence.
Progress That Goes Beyond the Scorecard
Golf is a sport that demands patience, discipline, and mental toughness. Unlike many team sports, each athlete must navigate the challenges of competition while managing their own performance, often over several hours and through changing conditions.
Throughout the season, the Lions embraced those challenges. Improving scores and increasingly competitive finishes demonstrated the team’s growth, but equally important was the experience gained with every tournament.
The leadership of the team’s seniors, alongside the development of its younger golfers, helped create a foundation for continued success. With seniors providing experience and sophomores gaining valuable competitive opportunities, the Lions have been building a program that can continue to grow in the years ahead.
A Foundation for the Future
One of the most encouraging aspects of this season is the direction of the program. The Lions are not simply looking at where they finished this year, but at what they are capable of becoming.
The experience gained throughout the fall will be valuable for the returning players. Every tournament, every challenging hole, and every improvement on the scorecard provides another opportunity to develop the consistency and confidence needed to compete at a higher level.
At CSCS, athletics is about more than performance. It is an opportunity to develop character, leadership, perseverance, and a commitment to excellence. The boys golf team has demonstrated those qualities throughout the season, laying the groundwork for what comes next.
We are grateful for the dedication of our golfers, the leadership of our coaches, and the families who have supported this program throughout the fall. Congratulations to our Lions on a season of growth and progress. We look forward to seeing how this foundation continues to shape the future of CSCS Boys Golf.
Go Lions!
