The Lions continue their remarkable season with a 54–20 win over Salida, but their sights are set on what comes next.

Eight games. Eight wins. The Colorado Springs Christian School Lions are putting together a season to remember.

On Friday, October 16, the Lions delivered a 54–20 Homecoming victory over Salida in front of an incredible crowd at Ragain Field. The energy was high, the stands were packed, and the Lions gave their school community plenty to celebrate.

CSCS came out firing, building a commanding 40–6 halftime lead. Quarterback Fisher Tenpas led the offensive charge, throwing four touchdown passes and rushing for another score. The Lions’ offense continued to demonstrate why this team has been so difficult to stop all season.

The victory came just one week after one of the program’s biggest wins in recent history, defeating Limon on the road for the first time since 2015. Back-to-back performances like these are a testament to the work this team has put in and the confidence they’ve built together.

But undefeated doesn’t mean the work is finished.

As the Lions look toward the final stretch of the regular season, there’s still room to sharpen their execution on both sides of the ball, particularly defensively. The upcoming bye week provides a valuable opportunity to recover, refocus, and prepare for another challenging opponent.

On Friday, October 30, the Lions return to Ragain Field to face Burlington at 7:00 PM for Senior Night. It will be a special evening as we recognize the seniors who have helped lead this program and celebrate their commitment, leadership, and contributions to CSCS football. Fans can also look forward to a special appearance by a Flight for Life helicopter, adding to what promises to be a memorable night for our school community.

This team has already proven it can rise to the occasion. Through eight games, we’ve watched these young men compete with determination, respond to adversity, and grow as leaders. They’re learning that excellence requires more than talent. It takes discipline, accountability, humility, and a commitment to the teammates standing beside you.

There’s something special happening with this group of young men, and it’s about more than football. We’re watching them grow in character, confidence, and leadership with every challenge they face.

We believe in this team. We believe in the young men wearing the Lions uniform, the coaches leading them, and the work they’re putting in when nobody is watching. We’re proud of what they’ve accomplished, but even more excited about who they’re becoming.

To our school community, thank you for showing up, filling the stands, and standing behind these Lions. We hope to see you back at Ragain Field on October 30 as we celebrate our seniors and cheer on the Lions in another important matchup.

The record is 8–0. The momentum is real. But the work isn’t finished yet.

Keep working. Keep competing. Let’s go, Lions!
